Dr. Emily McMahan is a licensed audiologist helping people achieve healthy hearing at Alaska Hearing & Tinnitus Center. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati and a doctorate in audiology from Salus University. Dr. McMahan holds a certificate of clinical competence in audiology from the American Speech Language Hearing Association and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. She is knowledgeable in the latest technology and provides audiology services to people of all ages.

“About three weeks before we moved to Alaska, I was fitted with hearing aids in the Lower 48. For 6 months, I struggled making adjustments as I tried to adapt to wearing my hearing aids and finally decided to seek help. Alaska Hearing and Tinnitus Center was the only office that recognized my hearing aids as a unitron product and granted me an appointment. Dr. Emily McMahan’s services surpassed my expectations. She not only download a new program to enable her to make adjustments to my hearing aids but she walked me through how to use Bluetooth in making necessary adjustments on my own. Her personal attention, understanding and support for an elderly woman lacking technical skills made a huge difference. I now have an understanding of how to adjust my hearing aids and someone I can call for support. ”
