The Helen Keller National Center for Deaf-Blind Youths and Adults was founded in 1967. We are the only national vocational and rehabilitation agency to provide services exclusively to youth and adults who have combined vision and hearing loss.
Our mission is to enable each person who is deaf-blind to live and work in his or her community of choice.
Hearing care services
Youth and adults who are deaf-blind and live in the greater NY area may qualify to be served in their homes, work sites and communities through the Community Services Program (CSP). This demonstration program is a collaboration between the Helen Keller National Center and the New York State Commission for the Blind (CBVH). The CSP provides direct rehabilitation, vocational and support services to eligible New Yorkers living in the five boroughs of New York City, the two counties of Long Island and lower Westchester.
