“Even though I rarely write reviews, Hearing Associates and Dr. Ybarra have earned the highest positive review that I can provide: My business for life! I have been wearing hearing aids for over 30 years, and I am also a speech-language pathologist. Between those two experiences, I have known and have worked with more audiologists than I can remember. But the audiology clinic and audiologist who I will never forget, is Dr. Sandy Ybarra and Hearing Associates. Dr. Ybarra and Hearing Associates have served my hearing needs since I moved to Eugene 11 years ago. During my 30 years of having a significant hearing loss that required hearing management, Dr. Ybarra and Hearing Associates have exceeded all of my past experiences with hearing clinics and professionals. Being in the speech-language and hearing profession, I can say that audiology is a complex and technical discipline, and hearing management continues to advance at an astonishing rate. I note this because Dr. Ybarra and Hearing associates represent the best of the best in this discipline and service to their community. At my age, I have seen my share of healthcare professionals for a variety of reasons. It’s not uncommon for a medical specialist to not really listen to me, speak to me in a condescending manner, and to make the interaction feel rushed in order to get to the next appointment. I have NEVER experienced this with Dr. Ybarra and Hearing Associates; in fact, the experience is the exact opposite. Dr. Ybarra cares about her patients, which goes beyond hearing tests and hearing aids. In fact, due to Dr. Ybarra’s advanced clinical skills, and knowledge of my overall medical history, was the person who discovered that I had a type of brain tumor, which impacts hearing. And, if she had not made this discovery, my outcome would have been unimaginable: Dr. Ybarra saved my life. I am one of Hearing Associates and Dr. Ybarra’s greatest cheerleaders. I have recommended their services to friends and family, who even live outside of Eugene, Oregon. I personally would fly from out of State to get my hearing assistance from Hearing Associates. I’m clearly bias towards Dr. Ybarra and Hearing Associates, but after 30 years of wearing hearing aids and being in the speech-language and hearing profession, my recommendation comes from a place well beyond my personal experience. ”
