Joy Peterson is the Audiology Manager and leads a team of highly qualified Audiologists that provide excellence in patient care. She earned her Doctor of Audiology from the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL and her MA in Audiology from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, IL. She holds her Board Certification in Audiology, Cochlear Implant Specialty Certification and her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology.

The Center for Childhood Communication is the region’s first comprehensive, integrated center to address the full spectrum of communication problems in children from birth to age 21 years. We offer complete evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation services to children and provide support, education and guidance for families. Outpatient services are provided at four specialty care locations in Pennsylvania and three in New Jersey, as well as at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Main Campus.

We provide complete Testing and Evaluation that include:
Newborn hearing screening
Behavioral hearing tests
Immittance measures such as tympanometry
Otoacoustic emissions (OAE) testing
Auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing
Cochlear implant candidacy
Rehabilitation
Hearing aid evaluation, fitting and management
Services related to FM systems and other assistive devices
