Dr. Katy Mawson was raised in Nevada, but always loved the Pacific Northwest. When choosing her first post-grad job, she knew that the Portland area was where she wanted to be. In private practice since 2018, Katy has dedicated her time to treating each patient with gold-standard care and evidence-based practice. Katy decided to move to Pacific EarClinic and the Pacific University School of Audiology to continue her dedication to underserved populations and to be apart of the growth within the field of audiology. In her free time, she volunteers and serves as the President of the Oregon Academy of Audiology, enjoys reading and baking, and cares for a wide variety of house plants that she began collecting during the pandemic lockdown. She loves sharing her experiences with her patients and connecting with them on a deeper level to ensure excellent hearing healthcare outcomes.

The Pacific EarClinic is a teaching clinic affiliated with the School of Audiology at Pacific University. In the clinic, our doctoral audiology students develop their clinical skills under the supervision of the faculty, all of whom are licensed audiologists. Everyone affiliated with the clinic – faculty, staff, and students – is committed to applying the latest evidence-based practice and best clinical practices, along with the highest level of customer services, in order to provide the greatest benefit to our patients.
Hearing care services
- Hearing evaluations for all ages, occupations, and lifestyles
- Balance disorder/dizziness evaluations in the Interprofessional Dizziness and Balance Clinic, a collaborative service with the College of Optometry and the School of Physical Therapy
- Hearing instrument technology evaluations, fitting, and follow up services
- Hearing instrument cleaning, adjustment, and repair services
- Consultation for other hearing assistance technology, including Bluetooth connectivity devices
- Custom earmolds for hearing protection, sleep, swimming, iPod earbuds, and in-ear monitors
- Services designed for musicians, including hearing evaluations, risk management, in-ear monitors, and hearing protection
- Tinnitus evaluations
- Newborn diagnostic hearing assessments
